My Story

The 1 newspaper ad that changed my life forever…

news_adI remember it like it was yesterday… an  ad in the Richmond times dispatch that stated “this is the last job you will ever take.” Because this ad was so bold, I had to respond. I was interviewed in June 2001 for a loan officer position refinancing veterans loans. Even though I knew nothing about the mortgage industry at the time, I was willing to learn any and everything. Well within my 1st year as a loan officer, I was able to become one of the top reps in the company out of over 700 loan officers. This opened a few eyes and I was sent to other offices to assist with their sales.  Within 4 years of starting as a loan officer I was able to build the largest and most effective sales force in this company’s 63 year history, and ultimately was promoted as the president of marketing before departing. In 2005 I started to see my income plummet quite a bit due to the mortgage industry slowing down. At this point I had moved to 3 different states in 5 years, never had a vacation, and the market was falling right in front of my eyes. I felt with so much going on, it’s time to take a vacation and think about my life and what I truly want.

The vacation…

So, in December of 2005 I took a long awaited, well deserved vacation. I took my fiancé and my son to Nassau, Bahamas on a beautiful cruise. This was exactly what I needed to clear my head and get a little r and r. We had a blast; on the beach, the boat, jet ski-ing, snorkeling, and just plain enjoying life. While on this vacation I realized very quickly that this was what life was all about. Doing what you love, spending time with your family, and living life to its fullest potential. This trip took my mind into another place as I soon realized that I truly needed a break from the mortgage industry. Everyone on the island looked as if they enjoyed everything about their life. And here I am sitting here on a beautiful island with my family unhappy with the way my life was going. Unhappily married to a job that owned me without any true time to pursue what I was put on this earth to do. I knew this was going to be a hard decision but it was going to be 1 that had to be made.

My last trip across the Howard Franklin Bridge…

After coming home, reality hit me very hard in the face. The routine of going back to work and being owned by my job started to set in. As I drove across the Howard Franklin bridge,  the clear blue water reminded me of the Bahamas and how much fun I had. I dreaded crossing that bridge going back to work as my body was in the car but my brain was still on vacation. Then it happened. The final decision to quit my job and pursue my life was made right on that bridge to work. Even though these thoughts were going thru my mind, I still hadn’t made that decision to truly walk away just yet until that faithful drive. A sense of overwhelmed feelings came thru my body as I knew it was going to be tough telling my former boss I was quiting (he’s worth 400 million dollars) and doesn’t like people to quit on him. Well, the decision was made and honestly telling my former boss wasn’t as hard as I expected. He did look at me like I was crazy and asked me what I was going to do. I proceeded to tell him I had  no clue and that I just needed a break and I will figure it out later. He wished me good luck and I was on my way to a new world in 2006 without the comfort of a guaranteed  6 figure income.

My new life as a Internet Marketer…

As I left the office for the last time, I truly smiled coming back across that long bridge. Even though I had no clue what I was TRULY going to do, everything just felt right. In 2005 however, I did start to watch what was happening on the internet right in front of my eyes. Numerous people from various network marketing companies where using the internet to make a fortune. This intrigued me and since I knew I wasn’t going back to work for anyone else, the internet looked like my way out. So after taking some well deserved time out for myself, I started studying internet marketing with a passion. I attended numerous seminars, purchased a gazillion cd’s, dvd’s, books, and mp3’s on the topic. The more and more are started studying the topic, the more I got excited. I joined a network marketing company and started to implement the things that I had learned. Well, not to my surprise the techniques that I had learned truly worked like crazy. The results were astounding and I was hooked. At this point, “Cedrick the Internet Marketing Entertainer” was born.

Paying it forward…

The internet/network marketing industry over the past few years has truly changed my life. I have been able to become the #1 recruiter and income earner in the top attraction marketing system on the internet, MLMLeadSystem Pro. I have coached hundreds of people in numerous network marketing companies, published my 1st book, created my own cd series, and have built a very successful network marketing business in the past 3+ years. Due to my success in this industry, I have been teaching numerous people how to market their businesses successfully online and you could be next. I am always looking for new talent that truly is willing to take over their life both mentally and financially. I started my company Team Takeover Marketing LLC in 2007 just for this reason and this is our mission. So far we have created numerous success stories all over the world but our journey has just begun. I learned a long time ago, “the more you help others reach their goals, the sooner you will reach yours.” Living by this attitude I want to help you reach your internet/network marketing goals no matter what they may be. However, im only looking for people who are willing to get out of their own way. This is a very lucrative industry, but you have to be coachable and teachable. So,if you are coachable, teachable, and willing to get out of your own way—call me so we can assist you in taking over your life.

Cedrick Harris
